Feeling better
I went to see a doctor finally after a tough week of battling with my bad sore throat.. I am glad I went, becos my throat doesn't hurt now after taking the medicine!! I was supposed to meet angela today to have dinner but at the last min I backed out. I will not want her to kana my virus . ..you see. I have to cancel my shopping trip with Miwa, Minqian and San2 too.. all because of my illness. So disappointing!
And The Great Singapore sale starts today!!! must snoop around for cheap bargains soon.
I need miracle pills to get well
My sore throat is getting from bad to worse. I am losing my voice.. arghhh.. anyone got miracle pills to recover soon?? I will order a dozen cartons.
Feeling sick
I have been sick for nearly a week...my horrible sore throat is getting worse and nothing seems to help. I was supposed to have barbequed food at Clarke Quay yesterday with Verlene.. in the end because of my sore throat, we have wanton mee at Cappage. It tasted nice anyway.. I met her bf who is a mixed, another person after Micky I known with a long complicated mixed blood origin.
Hope I recover soon.. suddenly have a craving for sushi buffet.
Friday!! I dun need to work tomorrow!
Yes! it's Friday again! my favourite day of the week..my supervisor Anna is not here today so I guess I will not need to work tomorrow!! but I will have to meet minmin & xueni for FYP discussion. We can meet early and then I can go out after that!!
ps: It's working hours now but I have finished my work, thanks to Anna's efficient SP. My lousy com which is still using Wins98 really cannot make it. If only my colleagues can take leave on a rotation basis.. *grinz
OT last week..
I did my first OT last week butI dun mind staying to help Kway Ying.. after all she is such a nice person. She gave me a chocolate to munch on.. after seeing how hard I worked. So touched! finally I can find some warmth in NCC. Rebecca is also a very sincere and friendly person.. but I do hope the "C& R" relationship is not true!!! curse that idiotic C!! so rude!!! asked me for help and gave me such a bad attitude. And he was from NTU!!! Yucks! he's such a disgrace to ntu, no wonder no one likes him in the company. I have to help him on the upcoming AGM.. and I hate that!!! I dun want to work with such an impolite person with no good manners!!!!
I met up with shannon, kwanghui and junli yesterday.. hahaa and that shark was wearing a skirt and heels!!! wooah!! hahahaa.. first time I see her so feminine. Will be having supper with her and ann.. will be so much fun I think. Looking forward to it.. :)
Weekends are here! Whee!
We had a 'long' celebration for Lychee's 21st birthday at Suntec Cartel yesterday. The birthday girl had so many 'surprises' awaiting for her..but half the time she was blindedfolded. Hence, in the end with a black jacket covering her face, she seemed like a headless person in the photos hahahaa. Moreover, throughout the celebration cum torturing session, Lychee was so hysterical and kept screaming " Oh my God!".
The weekends are finally here.. only a week has passed since we started attachment. I am glad that there will be no longer climbing of ladders and packing of files.. can finally learn some serious stuff.
Fate and opportunities
I saw this from a friend's blog..
'Sometimes i believe you must create your own opportunities in order for fate to exercise their will. No doubt most people believe in "Fate" playing their part in creating opportunities, but fate has its limitations. Most of the time, "fate" creates the optimum situation favourable for things to happen, but humans being humans, the innate ability to capture that split second moment "chance"is severly lacking thus everyone often reflect on hindsight bias of " what ifs". Opportunities and "fate" do not come knocking twice and do we emphasis the importance of "fate" while waiting for the opportunity to come knocking?... Do you really believe that i'm always in school till the time that you finish lesson so that we can have dinner together?? ... i'm creating an opportunity here.. Do you really believe that i really love this coz you love this? ... i'm trying to create a common topic here... so how do you actually define fate? Is it so natural that everything falls in place with nothing done? Or is there effort needed to create chance opportunities? '
Reading this reminds me of the movie' Turn left, turn right'. The characters in the movie tried so hard to see each other again.. we can't say that they never made any effort to create opportunities. They exchanged numbers to keep in touch but both lost their numbers at the same time... They are searching for each other constantly.. without knowing the other is just close by. It's fate that makes them meet each other.. yet may be it's fate that they always miss each other too.. in the end an earthquake helped to let them see each other again. Is this fate or wat?? sometimes things are beyond out control.. we tried and tried but we may not get what we want. We can only try very hard and pray for the best. Some things may happen because they are meant to be..however I do believe you must create opportunities in order for fate to exercise their will. We can't just wait around for opportunities to come to us.. if so why bother to study hard?? why try so hard to woo a girl?? what are meant to be yours, will be yours.. I used to think that only pessimistic people will totally agree with this saying. However sometimes when things are out of your control even a usual optimistic person will console himself with this cliche saying.
Well, I am proud to say I have made the first move to find out the name... hahaa but I simply lack the courage to create further opportunities.. may be may be one day I will.. may be.
I have learnt...
Lesson learnt is not to be a kaypoh.. just mind your own business. No one shows appreciation or say a word of thank you.. one even tries to give 'constructive ' ideas. I must be stupid to help them do it... I must be out of my mind. Luckily my best friend is there to hear me complain. thanks angela!!! and thank you for your lots of 'thank you'! *winks. I really feel better after talking to you.
A good girl I am
These few days I have been going back school to do FYP stuff.. and also doing a programme sheet for my mum. It was for the RC Parents' Day celebration this sat. I designed the whole thing from scratch and it looks not bad at all considering the fact that I only spent 1 day plus to do it. hee.. I am actually quite proud of my work. Only left 3 more days before pa starts!!!! I must enjoy every single day of this weekend!! and one last thing.. I have finally known the name
I was supposed to have lunch with Weiling but in the end she cancelled it. She called me early in the morning at 8.30 and told me she was too lazy to go out!!! and her legs are bitten by mosquitoes. It was so disappointing!!! I bet the main reason is her legs do not look so nice with all that red spots.. that's why she dun want to come out. hahaaz. that vain girl. What was even more funny was that she called me at 8.30 am and then asked me in a surprised tone:" Hey u are still sleeping? I thought you will wake up very early.. last time you used to do that". It was so funny.. yeah I used to wake up at 8 when I was YOUNG!!! hahahaha..that was dunno how many years ago!!
Anyway, I saw Minqian and Yuda today at Forever 21.. which was Minqian's favourite shopping place as usual.. hahaaa.
Everything seems unchanged
It has been a long while since I hogged on the phone with a close friend. Nowadays sms has taken over phone calls.. but yesterday night I got a surprise call from a good friend of mine. She is my primary school close buddy who was also my desk partner in class. Although we haven't see each other for years.. we still chatted as if we never lose contact all this while. We talked about old memories..our old classmates and teachers.. and we also remembered the things that we do together. The things we told each other.. what I told her before in primary school and what she told me too.. and of course.. we gossiped about other people too. hahaaz.. well, Weiling called to ask me whether I want to go her house to have lunch next tues.. we are supposed to have a lunch date next tues u see. She said she will cook lunch for me.. hahaa so sweet right?? it is so typical her.. that's what she always has been since primary school days. Soft-spoken and demure type of girl. We chatted from morning 0000 to 3 plus and my phone went from full battery to no battery. Everything seems unchanged.. I am surprised that despite all these years of not keeping in touch, we still manage to talk about anything under the 'moon'. It proves only one thing: our friendship has never changed and is still going on strong.
