Went swimming with my family yesterday at EuroAsia Park. Haven't been swimming for nearly a year.. hahaa and yesterday was a nice day to swim. After swimming, we went chomp chomp for dinner. It was sorta of a pre- birthday celebration for Edmund. We ordered at least 8 kinds of dishes.. I like the barbecued stingray best of all. In fact, we ordered twice. Later, we stopped at Ang Mo Kio Courts to buy a washing machine. While waiting for my parents, I sat at the benches staring at the plasma tv, watching the images on the screen change. Andrew was busy calling his wife and Edmund had brought his novel along to read. Then I noticed that there were so many salesperson around. Everywhere I went, I saw them. I even saw a few clustered together chit-chatting. I had wanted to find a quiet isolated place where there was no salesperson around so that I can sit there in peace but I couldn't find any. Thus, I just sat anywhere, grabbed a catalogue and pretended to read in interest. I was actually more interested in the clothes the lady in the catalogue was wearing rather than the furniture advertised. After some time, my parents finally made their decision to buy a washing machine. My mum led me to the one they have bought and started telling me how the new machine can save electricity and the ease of operating it. Half the time, I was thinking.. "hmm.. yeah yeah sounds good but I dun have to learn to operate it. My maid has to learn it what.. hahaa.. so why tell me this??" I din say this out loud of course.. =P
Sometimes I feel that I tried to act nonchalant in front of my family. I kept things to myself, I feared letting them know my feelings and dreaded it when people can read me like an open book. I will say some insensitive things to them and I know sometimes my parents feel hurt by them although they never show it. My brothers aren't that way.. they never said things that are offensive to my parents on purpose. I dunno why I acted in such a lousy manner but I can't help it. I always said something's opposite to what i truly thought.. the words just came out before I even realised it. Call me tactless and no brainer... I disliked it when they said positive things about me to make me feel better when I myself know that it's far from the truth. I will show my sarcasm and think that it's all bullshi** I know that they love and dote on me but sometimes I just seem to snub them with unkind remarks. I am a very stubborn and ungrateful creature.. perhaps I am one who dun show my affections openly. I know that I am very lucky to have gotten such a great family who is proud of me of who I am but I took it all for granted. I dunno why I have to be so defensive to my family's concern but I am trying to mend my ways.
Fate awaits....

Childhood memories
Andrew, mum and I were talking crap today and I ended up knowing more about the childhood of my elder bro and mine too..1) Andrew's nickname was called Yoyo, my xiaogu gave it to him when he was young and we dun know why he was called that. Looks like I have to ask my xiaogu one day..
2) Andrew was a brillant child but apparently he was too lazy to study hard.
3) Andrew liked to ask my ah gong to buy a toy for him everytime he had to go for a haircut. He would happily play with the new toy but by the second day you would find it lying on the ground dismantled and ruined. It was because Andrew had tried to pry open the toy by using his mouth.
4) Andrew had proved that he was a genius by attempting to unlock the tv when he was only 10 years old. Initially he would sucessfully steal the keys from my ah gong.. then when stealing keys failed, he tried to connect extension plugs to the tv to switch it on and so my ah gong has to hide the extension plugs.. then Andrew resorted to unscrewing the main plug and i dunno how he did it.. he still managed to switch on the tv. In the meantime, I always sat there waiting for my tv show to start hahaha
5) Andrew learnt his 12 timetables when he was 11 or 12.
6) Andrew learnt how to play chinese chess when he was only 9 years old.
7) A cousin who was only a months younger than him was beaten up by his father because he dunno anything and Andrew knew almost anything.
8) Andrew was a fat baby... I can see that judging from what I see now... haha
9) Wendy was a dirty girl who likes to suck her thumb and carries a small pillow everywhere she went.
10) Wendy liked to drink her ah gong's chinese tea since young. She has drank a lot of her ah gong's saliva in the process. She liked to drink her tea bitter.
11) Wendy was good in her art. She had made a beautiful dragonfly using toilet paper..and it was framed up on the wall in the tuition centre she once attended. Her parents were so proud of her.. Quoting from my mum:" I din know my daughter's art was that good until I saw the dragonfly" *smirks
12) Wendy screamed and cried like nobody's business when her favourite smelly pillow was thrown away.
13) Wendy liked to ask people to take her downstairs and would remind them politely to remember to bring money along. She wanted sweets.
14) Wendy had a huge doll given to her by her xiaogu and it looked like her.
15) Wendy was a skinny girl unlike her elder brother.
16) Both Andrew and Wendy were stranded at an auntie's house for a week vacation. Wendy missed home terribly and she never told anyone.. not even her parents. She was so grateful to be home... shhhh.
17) Both Andrew and Wendy had their first tooth later than other babies.
18) Both Andrew and Wendy were tall for their age.
It seems that Andrew is smarter than Wendy right? yupz I agree.. he is smarter and also much more fatter too.
While the three of us were having fun chatting away, Edmund was preparing for war tomorrow for his chemistry paper. Wish him good luck!
ps: I bought for Edmund today his supersonic swimming goggles that he always wanted. I am such a nice sister=)
